YouTube is a wonderful resource for absolutely anything and the content library is growing everyday. But unfortunately, YouTube doesn’t know how old the viewer is and can sometimes display inappropriate or distracting content that you don’t want visible to children. Ellie’s TV fixes this problem.
The app works by only displaying content from a specific playlist — either one you’ve found or one that you’ve created on your own YouTube account (if you’re going to create a playlist, set the visibility to public so that Ellie’s TV can access it). This method completely avoids any advertisements, related videos, unsuitable comments and external links to 3rd-party websites.
Although the name and design suggests that it’s for very young children, the custom playlist feature means that any classroom of any age would find a use for it.
