Presentations are a great teaching tool and you may be surprised just how exciting they can be. Linda Dong, a user interface designer, experimented with Apple’s Keynote app to see how powerful the animation effects were. It turns out, they’re pretty amazing.

By combining simple shapes and colours, you’re able to create motion that would bring data or information to life. The animations are created by changing the position of a shape during each frame, which when played back looks like it’s moving.

Linda’s also been kind enough to share the Keynote project on her website for anyone to download and see how the animations were achieved.
