As the library grew, we quickly outgrew the limitations of Tumblr and made the strategic move to WordPress. This transition was a turning point for Paperzip, allowing us to dive deep into analytics and truly understand our community. By tracking which resources were being downloaded most and seeing where our global audience was located, we were able to move away from guesswork.

2015 was a year of incredible momentum as Paperzip hit the milestone of 1,000,000 page views. To keep up with this growing demand, we scaled our production to release multiple new printable resources every single week. This period also saw us expanding our blog to bridge the gap between traditional printables and the digital classroom. We began reviewing new technology, specifically focusing on how iPads and educational apps could be integrated into lessons, helping teachers navigate the rapidly evolving world of classroom tech.

In 2016, we took our first steps into the world of physical products by launching our shop on Etsy (no longer live!). Initially, we focused on reward cards and certificates, but it wasn't long before we realised the potential of stickers as the perfect classroom companion. As demand grew, we expanded our reach to Amazon and eBay later that year. It was a milestone moment for the studio as we processed our very first orders, shipping Paperzip products to both local teachers in the UK and new customers across the globe.

2019 marked a major turning point for our production as we overhauled our products and packaging to align with our environmental values. We made the move to replace traditional materials with 100% recyclable paper for our stickers and introduced biodegradable packaging for every order. This shift ensured that our entire product journey — from the studio in Stirling to classrooms around the world — became eco-friendly.

2020 was a landmark year for Paperzip as our library of free printables surpassed a staggering 1,000,000 downloads. To better serve our growing community of teachers, we made the decision to bring our shopping experience in-house, officially launching our dedicated store at paperzip.co.uk. Moving away from third-party platforms allowed us to integrate our digital resources and physical sticker packs into one seamless space, making it easier than ever for educators to find everything they need in one place.

2024 was a year of incredible growth for our physical products as we officially surpassed 20,000 sales. It has been a privilege to see our stickers travel from our Stirling studio to classrooms far and wide, with orders now shipped to over 25 different countries.

Today, the Paperzip catalogue is more comprehensive than we ever imagined back in 2011. We are proud to offer a library of over 500 unique printable resources alongside a growing range of over 300 handcrafted sticker products. From our studio in Stirling, we continue to design and ship new tools every week, always with the same goal: to replace the boring and the basic with thoughtful, colourful designs that teachers and students love.
