A set of 48 stickers displaying the national flag of Somalia. The design is simple but symbolic. It features a blue field with a white five-pointed star in the centre.
The blue represents the United Nations, which played a role in Somalia’s transition to independence, and the white star symbolises unity and freedom, with each point of the star representing the five historical Somali regions: Italian Somaliland, British Somaliland, Djibouti, the Ogaden region in Ethiopia, and the Northern Frontier District in Kenya.
