The Ancient Greece app by Discover Kids is a thorough, information-packed app that works very similarly to a book. Instead of flipping pages, you’re sliding screens.
The app opens with the contents, displayed in a grid-like format with images representing each section — making it really easy to skip ahead to a particular chapter. In the contents, you’ll also notice that the app provides activity ideas and a quiz as well as resources to further your learning. The app is very interactive and there’s usually something on each page for you to tap, slide or move around. There’s also a nice mix of images, albeit quite clip-arty, and text so it’s not all about reading articles. Although, some of the words are a little complex for children and they may struggle to consume the information.
