Quip is a full office suite with the added ability of realtime collaboration. By placing chat boxes next to the document viewer, users can relay ideas or discuss issues whilst the document is open.
There are three main types of document that you can create in Quip: text, lists and spreadsheets. When several users are working on a document, each change or revision is tracked in the sidebar so you always know who has edited what. Any live changes being made will be locked to that specific user so that two people can’t work on the same section at once. You’re also able to see who is online incase you wanted to start a discussion.
