Talk Maths is an iPad app that requires 2 players to work as a team to solve maths problems. By encouraging conversation, players can discuss strategies and ideas to beat the game, whilst learning from each other in the process.
There are 2 versions of Talk Maths — Year 4 and Year 5. Both versions contain the same four games but at a different level of difficulty. The games are really easy to understand, apart from Mystery Numbers. That might take a little longer to get the hang of, but once you do, it’s a very rewarding game that is probably the best one of all four.
Talk Maths does a great job at covering a wide range of maths skills, as well as important life skills like communication and teamwork. The games are fun, enjoyable and perhaps most importantly, they make you want to learn maths.
